So much of life is about trusting the process. As children born in Western Kenya, attending a local primary school, we never imagined that one day we would return home to establish Tulivu. Yet, here we are. Our journey began in Kakamega, where our roots were planted. Over the years, we travelled the world, meeting people from distant places, experiencing diverse cultures and discovering some of the best places on earth. Along the way, the right people found their way into our story. Our travels taught us that we can belong and thrive anywhere, but we remained deeply connected to our roots. Every “yes” we said, every risk we took, led us here. Our rich experiences, desire to reconnect with our homeland, share its beauty with the world, and give back to the place that has always grounded us led us here. Tulivu, meaning “a place of calm,” has become a retreat where people can connect, explore, and slow down—a space to step away and breathe. We are building a sustainable brand. This means letting go of what no longer serves us or our customers, while introducing new offers that align with our purpose. It also means investing in the growth of the community that has supported us long before we had a physical space. We want everyone who visits Tulivu to feel inspired and seen.
